Needle bearings without collars are single or double row assemblies consisting of machined, solid outer rings without collars, needle bearings and removable inner rings. These bearings are completely removable. This means that the outer ring, the needle ring and the inner ring can be mounted separately. Adjustable needle roller bearings are assemblies consisting of drawn sheet steel outer sleeves, plastic support rings with a concave, spherical inner diameter, outer rings with a spherical surface, needle rings and removable inner rings.
The bearings compensate for static misalignment of the shaft, allowing the shaft to be tilted relative to the housing. Adjustable needle roller bearings can easily be pressed into a smooth bore and, in addition, adjustable needle bearings do not need to be fixed axially. Combined needle roller bearings are assemblies of radial needle bearings with an axially loadable rolling bearing section.
Needle sleeves and needle bushes are bearings consisting of thin-walled outer rings of drawn sheet material and needle rings. There are also full-needle needle sleeves. Most versions are single row. Needle sleeves and needle bushes are available both open and sealed. The thin-walled outer ring makes it possible to realize particularly compact bearings, provided that the shaft raceway is hardened and ground. Needle sleeves and needle bushes have a large load capacity, are suitable for high rotational speeds and are particularly easy to install. The needle sleeves and needle bushes must be pressed into a smooth bore where no further axial fixation is required.
